[The Internet Is Not For You]
August 27th, 2007The Internet Is Not For You
One thing that I’ve noticed a lot lately is how much people think that all the content on the World Wide Web is for them. It’s not, I promise. For instance, I’ve seen feminists whine about images they see and ask for the website owner to take it down. Seriously, are they joking? Guess what, get over it! The internet isn’t just for you. If something someone does bothers you, go somewhere else. Quite trying to Terraform the World Wide Web to your tastes.
I’ve banned internet explorer from my site. That bothers some people. Guess what? I don’t give a shit. It’s my little corner of the god-damned internet and I’ll do whatever the hell I please with it. Too many people these days have this proverbial-stick-up-their-ass about the world around them. If you don’t like what you’re seeing then it’s a good bet that you weren’t the one it was designed to be seen by. Just move along.
Ugh.

I completely agree. I see and hear of a lot of people complaining about sites like Ogrish [LiveLeak], Rotten, The Best Page In The Universe, Tucker Max and the like; if you’re unable to handle the content, then leave it…
This kind of thing happens everywhere though, not just with the ‘net, you’ll see people complain about certain movies, music, video games, and even news articles.
Meh, I’ve came to the conclusion, that people are just people. I guess we all have a different way of handling things that make us uneasy.
